The Medical Sectoral Council discussed the prerequisites for enrollment of students at medical, dentistry and pharmacy programs
On March 21, was held a session of the Sectoral Council of Higher Education of Medicine by the initiative of LEPL, National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. The Council members reviewed higher education programs of Health Care (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy) and discussed the experience of leading universities and schools of different countries (USA, Canada, UK, etc.), after which were expressed the opinions about determining the prerequisites for enrollment of entrants to higher education programs of Health Care and the subjects to be passed at the admission exams.
The Sectoral Council is staffed with highly qualified specialists of higher education institutions, scientific-research institutes, Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Affairs of Georgia, recommended by LEPL, State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities.
Apart from the members of the Council, in the working process of the session participated as well the representatives of the Registry Division of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, Qualifications Development Division, and LEPL National Center for Assessment and Examinations.
