Giorgi Vashakidze has been appointed on the position of a director of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement
Mikheil Batiashvili, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia presented new director of LEPL National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, who has been selected and appointed on a competitive basis.
Giorgi Vashakidze is a Doctor of Law of University of Hamburg. Since 2006 he has been awarded several scholarships , including doctoral scholarship of The Alfred Toepfer Foundation; Scholarship of Max Planck Institute for Foreign Countries and International Private Law and etc. He is also an author of many monographs, research and articles.
Giorgi Vashakidze has 10-year experience of working on international, private and public managerial positions. Recently, Giorgi Vashakidze has worked at various projects of United States Agency for International Development. Also, he has been involved in academic activities for 9 years.
Since 2013, Giorgi Vashakidze has been actively working as an expert, including the UNDP-sponsored Support for Vocational Education Reform in Georgia preparing a bill of vocational education for the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia; the UNDP-sponsored Support for Vocational Education Reform - Implementation of economic activities by the vocational institution founded by the State (situation analysis and recommendations for legislative reform).
Introductory meeting was held between the new director and the employees of the center.
