Representatives of City Hall Visit Gldani Professional Training Center

On February 26, Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Giorgi Solomonia together with Head of Municipal Improvement Service Agency Avtandil Sudaze and representatives of Tbilisi City Municipal Government visited LEPL- Gldani Vocational Training Center.

The visitors got acquainted with the activities and vocational programs of the college, met with the teaching staff and explored the student’s work and handicrafts. Furthermore, guests got familiarized with a learning environment established for special needs students, modernized material, technical base, laboratories and auditoriums, also expressed interest regarding the future plans and ongoing projects.

Among the topics discussed with the center's administration were future employment of graduates, partnership with the growing numbers of employers and public/ private sectors, center's initiatives and business involvement in influencing the vocational education development process.

The visitors paid special attention to registration process for spring enrollment and professional ability tests.

The community college “Gldani Vocational Training Center” actively collaborates with every level of local self-government, Municipal Government, city service agencies and public schools administration. Due to close collaboration all resources are concentrated to make vocational education more attractive.

The clear demonstration of the above-mentioned is the exhibition organized under the patronage of Gldani District Municipal Government. The exhibition, dedicated to a memory of young Georgian Painter David Kratsashvili, is hosted by the college. Therefore, for three weeks’ time, a lot of public and private school children are given an opportunity to acquire with works of Painter.

The visitors expressed their eagerness for future collaboration with Gldani Vocational Training Center.
