Georgia, as a member of the Bologna Process since 2005, is continuously implementing changes in the education system, thereby raising confidence in the European Higher Education Area.
The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, which is responsible for educational quality improvement within the country, aims at closer cooperation with international institutions working in the field of education and involvement in the international educational network.
The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) granted affiliate status to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement in October, 2013.
The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education is an umbrella organisation which represents its members at the European level and internationally, especially in political decision making processes and in co-operations with stakeholder organisations.
ENQA contributes to this goal especially by promoting European co-operation in the field of quality assurance in higher education and disseminating information and expertise among its members and towards stakeholders in order to develop and share good practice and to foster the European dimension of quality assurance.
NCEQE aims to become the full member of ENQA in 2018.
