European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA)

The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) represents the organization which plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of higher education across Europe. Established to serve the Bologna Process participant countries, ENQA promotes and maintains high-quality standards within these institutions.

ENQA facilitates the exchange of information, experiences, and best practices among member organizations related to quality assurance within higher education institutions.

Since its establishment, the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement has been actively involved in the activities of the ENQA. From November 22, 2013, to April 25, 2019, the Center had the status of an affiliated organization of the European Association for Quality Assurance of Higher Education (ENQA).

The center officially applied for ENQA membership in February 2018 and submitted a self-assessment report on August 21. On April 25, 2019, by the decision of the Board of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement granted ENQA membership status for five years. The Board concluded that the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement complies with the European Area of Higher Education Quality Assurance Standards and Guidelines (ESG 2015) and meets ENQA's membership criteria.

In 2023, in order to renew the ENQA status, the Center submitted a self-evaluation report, which reflected the development indicators and results of the period after 2019. Based on the report and the application, in October 2023, an external evaluation of ENQA was carried out, through an on-site visit of the ENQA experts. The information on status renewal will be announced in 2024.
