Goal and Principles of the Framework for Doctoral Education

Goals of the Doctoral Education Framework is to promote the development of doctoral educational programmes and scientific research activities in Georgia through external mechanisms of quality assurance.

This document, together with the accreditation standards of higher educational programmes, defines the requirements for doctoral educational programmes based on the best local and international practices identified in the accreditation process, as well as the "Salzburg II recommendations."

Entries in the mentioned document cannot be interpreted as contrary to the Salzburg II recommendations, Vienna Declaration on Artistic Research, and Guideline on Scientific Research in the Bologna process.

Requirements set by the Framework of Doctoral Education are used during the accreditation evaluation of the doctoral educational programme together with the accreditation standards of higher educational programmes.
