Invited Members of the Accreditation Council

The invited members of the Accreditation Council are appointed and dismissed by the Prime Minister of Georgia upon the nomination of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia for a two-year term.

Invited members participate, together with the permanent members of the Accreditation Council, in the review and decision-making process concerning the accreditation of regulated educational programmes in Medicine. When considering these accreditation cases, invited members exercise the same rights and perform the same duties as the permanent members of the Accreditation Council.

The powers, functions and operating procedures of the invited members are determined by the Regulation on the Accreditation of Educational Programmes, which ensures the functional independence of the Accreditation Council from higher education institutions and public authorities.
