Organized by the Qualifications Development Department of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE), an informational meeting was conducted with representatives of general education institutions within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Capacity for the Implementation of the Referencing and Self-Certification Processes of the National Qualifications Framework of Georgia (GEOREF)”.

The project aims to harmonize the National Qualifications Framework of Georgia (NQF) and establish its correspondence with the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL) and the Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA).
The purpose of the meeting was to inform representatives of general education institutions about the progress achieved and the upcoming stages in the referencing and self-certification processes of the National Qualifications Framework.

The meeting was conducted in an interactive format, enabling participants to ask questions and receive answers regarding the ongoing stages and technical details of the process of aligning Georgia’s National Qualifications Framework with the European meta-frameworks (EQF-LLL and QF-EHEA).
This process ensures the compatibility of qualifications existing in Georgia with European frameworks, thereby contributing significantly to the international recognition and visibility of the country’s education system.
