The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement Hosted a Delegation from the Republic of Armenia

During a two-day visit, Lasha Margishvili, Acting Director of the LEPL - National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, together with the Center’s staff, hosted the Director and representatives of the Education Inspectorate Body (EIB) of the Republic of Armenia. 

The purpose of the working visit was to exchange experience and strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of quality assurance in general education. 

During the meetings, the parties discussed important issues, such as the core mandate of the LEPL National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, the standards and procedures for school authorization, the legislative framework, recent achievements in the field of general education, monitoring mechanisms, and the procedures related to the recognition of general education programmes obtained abroad. Emphasis was also placed on the Center’s experience related to its membership in Europe's The Standing International Conference of Inspectorates (SICI), 
For its part, the Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia placed particular emphasis on risk assessment in the field of general education, the tools employed during inspection processes, as well as the approaches and procedures applied in conducting inspections.
At the end of the meetings, representatives of both institutions expressed their readiness to expand cooperation in general education.
