The Qualifications Development Service of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) organized the third Peer Learning Activity (PLA) focusing on the "Recognition of Non-Formal Education." The event was conducted under the project: "Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Referencing and Self-Certification Processes of the National Qualifications Framework of Georgia (GEOREF).
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia and the NCEQE, members of the designated working group for the NQF self-certification and referencing process, and representatives of the Advisory Council for the implementation and development of the National Qualifications Framework and the Classifier of Fields of Study. The session also featured active participation from local and international experts from Latvia and Italy, alongside representatives from various education sub-systems and other relevant stakeholders.
The GEOREF project aims to harmonize the National Qualifications Framework of Georgia and establish its compatibility with the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL) and the Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA). This alignment will significantly enhance the international visibility of the Georgian education system and facilitate the recognition of Georgian qualifications across European Union member states.
