In the education system of Georgia, one of the important directions for the effective management of external quality assurance processes is international relations, approximation to European quality assurance standards and harmonization of external quality assurance processes.
Over the past years, the Center has achieved significant results in terms of international recognition, transparency of issued qualifications and credibility. In particular, the Center is a member of leading international quality assurance organizations such as the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the European Register of Independent Higher Education Quality Assurance Agencies (EQAR).
The Center has gained recognition from the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME); The Center became the Central and Eastern European Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency (CEENQA). The Center actively cooperates with the Bologna Folow-up Group (BFUG), and the Center's representative co-chairs the Thematic Peer Group (TPG on QF) on Qualifications Framework Development Team of Bologna Implementation Coordination Group (BICG). The Center is also involved in the work of other thematic groups of the Bologna Process. As a partner and member, the Center participates in ERASMUS + funded projects. The institutional capacity building of the NCEQE in the reform of the education quality assurance system is supported by the European Union and other donor organizations. For several years, the Center has been holding annual international conferences involving invited local educational institutions and independent experts.
