In the education system of Georgia, one of the important areas for the effective management of external quality assurance processes is international relations, approximation to European quality assurance standards and harmonization of external quality assurance processes. Over the past years, NCEQE has achieved significant results in terms of international recognition, and enhancing transparency and credibility of issued qualifications. In particular, NCEQE is a member of leading organizations in the area of international and European quality assurance, such as: the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). NCEQE has gained recognition from the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME); NCEQE has become a member of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA). NCEQE actively cooperates with the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG), and a representative of NCEQE co-chairs the TPG on QA in the Bologna Implementation Coordination Group (BICG). NCEQE participates in programs and projects funded by ERASMUS+. NCEQE and its partners are supported by an EU-funded Twinning project in respect of issues related to reforming the education quality assurance system. For several years now, NCEQE has been holding annual international conferences involving experts invited from different countries, local educational institutions as well as independent experts.
