With the financial support of the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) of the European Commission and in cooperation with the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, a seminar was held on the topic - quality audit as one of the external mechanisms of quality assurance of higher education.
The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement evaluates the functioning and effectiveness of the internal quality assurance system of higher education institutions through authorization and accreditation mechanisms.
Accordingly, the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement actively supports the higher education institutions operating in Georgia to effectively develop internal quality assurance mechanisms within the institution and introduce an internal quality culture with the involvement of all interested parties.
In order to achieve the mentioned goal, a seminar on the topic of education quality audit was planned and implemented.
Within the seminar, international experts invited from the Netherlands and Finland familiarized the representatives of higher education institutions and other attendees to the international best practice, according to which the audit of internal quality assurance mechanisms is carried out in higher education institutions operating in Europe as one of the external quality assurance mechanisms.
The seminar was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, higher education institutions, members of the Authorization Council of Higher Education Institutions and Accreditation Council of Higher Educational Programmes, experts of authorization of higher education institutions and accreditation of higher educational programmes, students and employers.
