On October 1 of the current year, the sixth working meeting of the working group responsible for implementing the referencing and self-certification processes of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework (NQF) was held, organized by the Qualifications Development Department of the National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Implementation Capacities for the Referencing and Self-Certification Processes of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework (GEOREF).”
The participants of the working meeting reviewed the progress achieved in the development of the referencing and self-certification report and briefly examined the content of the drafted chapters and sub-chapters.
Discussions also focused on raising awareness and ensuring the engagement of stakeholders in the processes of referencing and self-certifying the Georgian NQF with European meta-frameworks. Additionally, plans were addressed for informational meetings scheduled for October to further these objectives.
The meeting was attended by members of the project’s core team and the working group established for the implementation of the NQF referencing and self-certification processes.
The National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement initiated this project to achieve harmonization with the European Qualifications Frameworks, encompassing the referencing and self-certification of the Georgian NQF with the European meta-frameworks (EQF-LLL and QF-EHEA). The project aims to ensure the harmonization and alignment of the Georgian NQF with the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL) and the Qualifications Framework for the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA).
The project enhances the recognition of Georgia’s education system and facilitates the establishment of compatibility for qualifications awarded in Georgia at the international level.
