The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement Participated in the European Education General Assembly Held in the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Deputy Director of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, Ketevan Kobakhidze, together with Mari Mgeladze from the Center’s Planning, Research and International Relations Department, took part in the General Assembly convened in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands, organized by the Standing International Conference of Inspectorates (SICI), the European association of national and regional education inspectorates. 
At the General Assembly, representatives of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement presented to the participants the outcomes achieved in the field of general education quality assurance within the framework of the second SICI seminar held in Georgia in 2025, drawing on both domestic and international experience and best practices. 

In the course of the event, participants discussed SICI’s strategic plan and the activities scheduled for the coming year, which are designed to foster closer relations and further deepen cooperation among SICI member organizations. 

Nearly 100 delegates from around 30 countries participated in the General Assembly, including representatives of the education sector and international experts.

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement became a member of the European Association of National and Regional Education Inspectorates (SICI – Standing International Conference of Inspectorates) in 2022.
Membership in this organization represents a significant milestone for the country, particularly in terms of the internationalization of general education, Georgia’s involvement in research related on external evaluation that is of interest to the country, the sharing of leading international practices in the field of external quality assurance, and enhancing the visibility and recognition of the work carried out by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.
