27 August 2026

On 27 August 2026, the Qualifications Development Service of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement organized the seventh quarterly meeting with international experts within the framework of the Erasmus+ funded project “Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Referencing and Self-Certification Processes of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework (GEOREF).”

The primary objective of the meeting was to prepare for the GEOREF project’s final conference with the participation of international experts Kiara Finocchi and Baiba Ramina, including the coordination and agreement on the conference agenda and planned activities.

During the meeting, the agenda and key thematic areas of the final conference were discussed with the international experts. The participants also considered the format of the experts’ involvement in the conference, as well as the key issues to be addressed by them during the event.
The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement launched the GEOREF project with the aim of strengthening the alignment of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework with European qualifications frameworks. The project seeks to establish the alignment and compatibility of the Georgian National Qualifications Framework with the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF-LLL) and the Qualifications Framework for the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA).

The activities carried out within the project contribute to bringing the Georgian National Qualifications Framework closer to the European education area and to strengthening the international transparency, comparability, and recognition of qualifications awarded in Georgia.
