By decision of the Register Committee of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) of 22 September 2026, the inclusion of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) on EQAR has been restored.
The decision was based on the outcome of a review by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
As part of the evaluation, ENQA’s international experts conducted an in-depth review of the significant changes implemented in the field of higher education quality assurance in 2024–2025, which were aimed at ensuring the full compliance of Georgia’s quality assurance system and the Center’s activities with European standards.
According to the assessment of ENQA’s international experts and the decision of the EQAR Register Committee, the activities of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and the higher education quality assurance mechanisms operating in Georgia fully comply with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015).
Renewal of NCEQE’s inclusion on EQAR will significantly contribute to the internationalization of Georgia’s higher education system and help raise international confidence in, and the reputation of, its quality assurance system.
