If there is an agreement between the educational institution and the institution of a foreign country on the implementation of an exchange program and/or mutual recognition of credits, the educational institution is entitled to obtain prior consent from EQE, which later on shall be a basis for automatic recognition of vocational or higher education received in the framework of that exchange program while studying abroad. In such a case, vocational or higher education received in the framework of that exchange program while studying abroad shall be deemed to be recognized, whether or not the procedures referred to in this Article take place. 

Prior consent is issued for a period of 2 (two) years.
 
Documents to be submitted are as follows:

1. Application;
2. Agreement between the educational institution and the educational institution of a foreign country on the implementation of an exchange program and/or mutual recognition of credits; 
3. Receipt evidencing the payment of the fee. Service fee – GEL 25 (E-payment);
4. In case of using postal services, GEL 5 is added to the service fee.
