On December 6-8, working meetings are being held in Tbilisi within the framework of the European Training Foundation – ETF Forum upon the initiative of the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement. The Forum is held every year on the basis of a relevant application from a member country or a country interested in membership of the Foundation.
The participants of the meetings will discuss the vocational training/retraining system in Georgia, and the representatives of ETF member countries will evaluate the effectiveness of the training/retraining system.
The participants of the workshops include representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, National Center for Education Quality Enhancement and of 20 ETF member countries. All the parties interested in vocational training/retraining in Georgia are also attending the meetings.
It should be noted that the Forum is held every year with the financial support of the European Training Foundation (ETF). 28 countries are members of the ETF, including Serbia, Israel, Ukraine, Turkey, Moldova, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Armenia, Azerbaijan and others.
In 2022, Georgia was given the opportunity to host the European Training Foundation Forum as a result of its application to the ETF. Holding an event of this scale in Georgia is important in terms of the development of vocational training/retraining in the country and is a step forward in the direction of deepening cooperation with the European Union, which will contribute to the improvement of the education system of Georgia and its approximation towards European standards.
