The document of recommendations for self-certification of the European qualifications framework, the national qualifications framework, was developed with the direct involvement of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, the Academic Information Center of Latvia and international experts. The updated document can be found at the following link: https://www.ehea.info/Immagini/QUATRA_-_TPG_A_recommendations_self-certification_20.12_.2023_.pdf
It should be noted that the jointly developed recommendations were based on a study coordinated by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. 16 countries of the Thematic Working Group (TPG A) of the National Qualifications Framework of the Bologna process participated in the study, among which the experience of those countries that successfully passed the self-certification process was analyzed. The recommendations were also based on the seminar on self-certification held in Georgia in 2023, where the mentioned recommendations were presented and discussed with more than 60 international experts of higher education from 24 countries.
Also, the recommendations were presented by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement in 2023 at the annual meeting of correspondents of the Council of Europe Qualifications Framework held in Strasbourg.
Importantly, from 2021, Georgia, together with Austria and Latvia, is the chairing the thematic working group of the national qualifications framework of the Bologna process (TPG A on QF). The purpose of the group is to promote the implementation of the main commitments and recommendations of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) at the national level and to propose policy recommendations for the working structures of the Bologna process. The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement is representing Georgia in the mentioned group. The group includes 28 member states of the Bologna Process and European institutions – the European Commission, the Council of Europe, the European Student Union and the European Union of Higher Education Institutions.
