On June 16-17, 2025, the 68th meeting of the European Qualifications Framework Advisory Group was held in Brussels. At the meeting, Mr. Lasha Margishvili, Acting Director of the LEPL National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, and Ms. Khatia Tsiramua, an expert at the Center, delivered a presentation outlining the activities already implemented and those planned as part of Georgia’s efforts to align its National Qualifications Framework with the European Qualifications Framework.
Following the Center's presentation, a discussion was held in a question-and-answer session. Members of the European Qualifications Framework Advisory Group positively assessed Georgia’s progress in referencing the National Qualifications Framework to the European Qualifications Framework. They expressed their commitment to continuing active collaboration, both with the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and with all other stakeholders involved in this process.
The successful implementation of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) referencing process will enable Georgia to fulfill its commitments under the EU Association Agreement and the Bologna Process. Work on the referencing process is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
