Two-Day International Conference Marks the Center’s 15th Anniversary and the 20th Anniversary of Georgia’s Accession to the Bologna Process

Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, opened the international conference, which addressed achievements and challenges in higher, vocational, early childhood, and preschool education within the context of education quality assurance. 

 

Givi Mikanadze congratulated the attendees on the 15th anniversary of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and the 20th anniversary of Georgia’s participation in the Bologna Process. He wished the Center success in its future endeavors and spoke about the importance of strengthening international cooperation in ensuring quality across all levels of education. 

 

“The involvement of representatives from various countries around the world, including ENQA, EQAR, WFME, EUA, CEENQA, and other key organizations, is particularly significant for advancing the quality of Georgia’s education system. Accordingly, this two-day conference holds special significance for us. 

 

The support of such large-scale organizations and the discussions held today once again emphasize that the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia and the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement share a committed and valuable partnership with international partners,” stated Givi Mikanadze. 

 

The conference was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Zviad Gabisonia, who presented two reports to the audience on the following topics: Key Trends in the Development of Science and The Possibilities of Introducing Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education and Science.  

 

The conference was attended by: Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia; the Legal Entities of Public Law under its governance; higher, vocational, general, early childhood and preschool educational institutions; and the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. In addition, representatives of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR), the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), and the European Students’ Union (ESU), along with local and international experts.
