NCEQE Joins the Implementation of the “Qualifications Framework for Trust, Transparency and Diversity – TPG A (QUATRA 2)” Project under the Erasmus+ Programme

8 December 2025

The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE) will participate in the implementation of the project “Qualifications Framework for Trust, Transparency and Diversity – TPG A (QUATRA 2)”, funded under the Erasmus+ programme.

 NCEQE representative took part in the introductory workshop held in Riga, Latvia, within the framework of the TPG A QUATRA 2 project. This initiative is a continuation of the QUATRA – TPG A (2022–2025) project, in which Georgia actively participated as a partner country.

Project Purpose

The QUATRA 2 project aims to strengthen cooperation, peer learning, and the exchange of experience among members of the Bologna Thematic Peer Group A (TPG A on Qualifications Frameworks), supporting countries in the development and implementation of higher education qualifications frameworks.

Key Objectives

  • To support the work of TPG A by implementing targeted activities that facilitate the effective realization of Key Commitment 1 of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
  • To enable more in-depth work and focused discussions through the establishment of two specialised Working Groups on priority topics.

Planned Project Activities

  • Organisation of four TPG A meetings and four peer-learning activities (PLAs) covering the following themes:
    • implementation of the self-certification process;
    • transparency of qualifications frameworks;
    • study programmes outside the Bologna three-cycle structure;
    • databases and registers of qualifications that reflect qualifications frameworks.
  • Establishment of two specialised Working Groups:
    1. Supporting automatic recognition of higher education qualifications in the context of qualifications frameworks.
    2. Qualifications frameworks to support flexibility of learning — enabling focused analysis and the development of specific recommendations.
  • Presentation and discussion of project outcomes at relevant Bologna Process events and the organisation of an international conference.

Project partners:

  • Academic Information Centre (AIC, coordinator), Latvia
  • Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), Malta
